Beard Dandruff Solution
Follow these four steps to keep skin healthy and eliminate dry, flaky skin.
Exfoliate + Cleanse + Hydrate + Moisturize
A boar bristle brush helps gently exfoliate the skin under the beard while distributing oil evenly. Regular brushing lifts away loose flakes and improves circulation to the skin.
Beard dandruff often starts with buildup on the skin. Sweat, dead skin cells, and product residue can collect beneath the beard and lead to flaking. Use a gentle beard wash a few times per week to clean the beard and the skin underneath without stripping away natural oils.
Dry skin is the number one cause of beard dandruff. A leave-in conditioner helps restore moisture to both the beard hair and the skin underneath, reducing irritation and preventing flakes before they start. Apply to a towel-dried beard after showering, working it down to the skin.
Beard oils and balms lock moisture into the skin and keep beard hair conditioned throughout the day. You can use either an oil or a balm, or both. A few drops of oil or a small scoop of balm worked into the beard helps maintain the skin barrier and prevents dryness from returning.
